Leicester bridge refurbishment
The Project was to remove the lead basted paint and corrosion so the bridge could under take a full refurbishment.
We had to put a lot of caution and planning into this project with working above water and the removal of Lead paint with a specially designed scaffold and air tight wrap around the full bridge this was to contain all the waste materials from going into the water.
along with a designed extraction & filteration system for air flow and dust reduction.
Our team managed to complete the works on schedule with no delayes meaning other trades could stick to the programmed deadline.

The Process.
*Setup extraction & filtration designed to complete the work safely.
*Shotblast the full bridge structure to SA2.5 Standard for the correct preparation for the paint system.
*Blow down & vacuum waste material out of the scaffolded platform daily before painting.
*Apply a 3 coat specialist paint system to fit the environmental requirements including stripe coating's.
The project was completed in 4 weeks with 2 blast operatives, 2 painters and a team of labour for pot men and cleaning.
