FRIAR GATE DERBY
As seen on BBC NEWS!

Welcome to the Friar Gate Derby project.
*This fantastic building was built originally for the railway infrastructure as a major icon to derby transporting and storing various goods, given the name Goods Yard. The building has been left in a fire damaged abandoned state for years, , CBS were called in to survey the site and produce in detail what we can achieve on this building. Working with the contractors we were able to meet their requirements providing a 4 stage project. the whole 4000m2 internal structural steel to be shotblasted back to SA2.5 then primed in a macropoxy primer ready to be coated with an Intumescent finish. All done from MEWP access.
*Internal paint removal leaving a brick finish for the industrial finish look.
*External Graffiti removal.
*The underground x15 brick arched tunnels spanning 9000m2
These tunnels were coated in layers of thick white paint. We blasted these back to the original brick finish then washed the whole building down leaving all areas clean.
This fantastic project is going to cater for food halls, retail and office space for the surrounding area. Accompanied with the new build housing estate surrounding the building.
Regeneration at its best.
