RYEGATE CHILDREN'S CENTRE
Refurbishment to existing access ramps and balustrade's.
Completed in July 2023 was the Ryegate Children's Centre.
Due to the centre remaining open while the works commenced it was crucial that the works were encapsulated protecting the outside live environment.
The installation of a filtered extraction unit was in place to reduce the dust content while working.
The full access ramps were scaffolded and Enviro shrink wrapped to create an air tight unit.
from there we were able to carryout the shotblasting and paint coatings within an environmentally controlled unit.
The benefits of Enviro wrap is you are able to work externally in any weather conditions as water cant get in, its main purpose is to contain anything inside escaping into the environment, crucial when working around the public.
The Process.
*Shotblast all the working areas to SA2.5 Standards.
*Vacuum all waste product from inside of the encapsulated unit leaving the unit clean daily.
*By method or airless sprayer and hand brush applying a primer coat at the recommended um.
*Application of two pack top coat.
*Remove all material & equipment from site to allow the scaffold to be taken down.
